The poverty cycleThe cycle of poverty is often described as a phenomenon where poor families become trapped in poverty for generations. This is a result of either no or limited access to critical resources such as education and financial services. There are many root causes of poverty and it's complexity with multiple cycles based on economic, social, spiritual and geographical factors. Projects in developing countries fund new and existing poverty-reduction initiatives to break the poverty cycle for the individual, family or community benefiting from that initiative.
